ARLINGTON, Va. (June 24, 2014) -- Adm. Luigi Binelli Mantelli, chief of Italy's defense staff, participated in an Armed Forces Full Honors Wreath Laying ceremony with Maj. Gen Jeffery S. Buchanan, U.S. Army Military District of Washington commanding general, at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery.
Following the wreath laying ceremony Mantelli met with Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon to discuss matters of mutual interest to both nations.
