FORT STEWART, Ga. - Soldiers from Company B, 3rd Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, supported the Kessler Elementary School family day activities, May 15, on Fort Stewart.

"Having the opportunity to help inspire our youth and help them enjoy an ordinary day is a rewarding experience," said Sgt. Benjamin Young, a team leader with Company B, and the non-commissioned officer in charge of the unit's Adopt-a-School Program. "I am so grateful I had the opportunity to help students at Kessler."

The Adopt-a-School Program's mission is to provide inspiration and guidance for the students who attend elementary schools at Fort Stewart and the surrounding communities, while also supporting the staff during school activities and programs throughout the calendar year.

This is the third time since January Young and other members of 3-15 Inf. have supported Kessler elementary. Young, of Springfield, Missouri, added he takes full advantage to support Kessler elementary and its students each time he has the opportunity.

"I can't say enough how much we appreciate what 3-15 Infantry and Sgt. Young do for our students at Kessler," said Mrs. Johnnie Sledge, Kessler's special events coordinator. "Their presence really adds to the day," she added. "They have a way with students and help inspire them to better themselves in everything they do; that's a very hard task to inspire such young kids to be so motivated."

Young and other 3-15 Inf. soldiers not only provided inspirational support to Kessler elementary family day, but also helped set up all the day's activities, which included volleyball, kickball, and relay races.
