165th families experience Basic Combat Training

The 165th Infantry Brigade conducts its annual 'John & Jane Wayne Day' for families and friends of the brigade's battalions and Headquarters and Headquarters Company cadre May 17, 2014. Family members had the opportunity to share in the experiences of their service members and conduct various activities that Soldiers go through in Basic Combat Training. More than 250 spouses, children and friends rappelled off Fort Jackson's Victory Tower, ran the Fit-to-Win obstacle course, shot an M4 rifle and threw practice grenades. The day ended with a barbecue for the families at Twin Lakes.
