A-10 Thunderbolts from the Maryland Air National Guard flew into Fort A.P. Hill today to provide live fire support to Marines from Camp Lejeune, N.C.

The Marines, based at Camp Lejeune, N.C., are at A.P. Hill to conduct live-fire and combined arms training.

The A-10s carry bombs, rockets and missiles, it's primary weapon is the 30 milimeter seven-barreled Gatling gun that can fire up to 3,900 rounds per minute.
