A week's worth of pushing their mental and physical capacities to the fullest paid off for Staff Sgt. Kareem Paschal and Spc. Jeromy Sisk, Installation Management Command Europe's winners of the Best Warrior competition held at Baumholder April 20 -- 25. Paschall was named the Best Warrior Noncommissioned Officer and Sisk was the Best Warrior Soldier.

Paschal is assigned to USAG Wiesbaden and Sisk is from USAG Ansbach.

Both Soldiers were awarded the Army Commendation Medal by Kathleen Marin, IMCOM-E regional director, for having won the competition in their respective categories.

"Soldiering is an ancient profession. It's a skilled profession, and the Best Warrior Competition is a time to put those skills to task and honor your dedication to this noble profession.

"As we prepare to celebrate the 239th birthday of the U.S. Army this June, I couldn't help but reflect on how you represent the newest generation of America's most dedicated sons and daughters," said Marin during the awards ceremony at Baumholder's Hill Top Theater on Smith Barracks.

A parade of sponsors and supporters followed Marin on stage to present Paschal and Sisks with numerous awards and prizes for their accomplishments.

Among those honoring the winners were: the Edelweiss Lodge and Resort, Geiko, AAFES, USO, Andrews Federal Credit Union, Community Bank, FMWR, Wiesbaden Command Sergeants Major Club, United Airlines, Service Credit Union, Ferdi Schmitz, BSB Seidler, and USAA.
