An Army Contracting Command employee has lost her battle with cancer.

Barbara Sadler, a quality assurance specialist, died April 20 at Mather Memorial Hospital, Port Jefferson, N.Y. She worked in the Contract Administration Division, ACC Operations Group, Redstone Arsenal, Ala.

"Barb devoted her professional life spanning over 25 years to quality assurance, ensuring contractors provided the right products and services on time," said George Holland, chief, Contract Administration Division. "She executed a critical function in support of Soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines by making sure the equipment provided worked well and was available when they needed it. Simultaneously, Barb protected the American taxpayer by ensuring the government 'got what we paid for.' It is difficult to find someone more dedicated to her profession and her nation. She was a valued member of the Army Contracting Command team and will be dearly missed."

She is survived by her brother, David Sadler, Rocky Point, N.Y., and nieces and nephews.

Cards and other condolences can be mailed to the family at 108 Magnolia Dr., Rocky Point, NY 11778.
