John Fischer, director of the Defense Laboratories Enterprise Office, and Richard Fong, senior research scientist for warheads at Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., each hold a small controlled fragmentation warhead during Fischer's visit April 9 to Picatinny. The warhead fragment will be integrated into a lightweight kill vehicle for a helicopter active protection system. As the director responsible for the development and implementation of policies for several of the Department of Defense's laboratory systems, Fischer toured a number of Picatinny's labs and facilities during his visit. He also attended the arsenal's seventh annual science and technology networking day on April 10.
