Lieutenant Colonel Charles A. Fisher, Joint Force Headquarters -- National Capital Region's senior joint logistics plans officer, received the Defense Meritorious Service Medal (First Oak Leaf Cluster) presented by Maj. Gen. Jeffrey S. Buchanan, JFHQ-NCR/MDW commanding general during a ceremony held at Fort Belvoir, Va., April 1, 2014.
Fisher served at JFHQ-NCR from December 2011 to present. He contributed to the successful execution of eight National Special Security Events and more than 14 high visibility operations conducted by the command. Fisher's next assignment with the Army will be as a brigade commander.
