Name: Angela J. Brown, executive assistant to the deputy commanding general for operations, U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command, Colorado Springs, Colo.

Years of federal service: 20 years (five months with the command)

Education: Attended one year of college at Wayland Baptist University, Plainview, Texas

Marital status: Married for 25 years

Children: Two boys

Activities/hobbies: Love to cook, read, and hiking in the mountains

Favorite movie: To Kill a Mockingbird and Harvey

Favorite TV show: Big Bang Theory

Favorite band: I like a variety of music, so I don?'t have a favorite band

Favorite thing about working for the Army: My favorite thing about working for the Army is that I have been able to learn so many different skill sets and learn a lot about how the Army runs. I?'ve been fortunate enough to have worked for many different Army communities to include contracting, the inspector general, and signal commands to name a few

What made you want to work for the Army: My husband?'s first duty assignment in 1989 was Darmstadt, Germany. I wanted to get a job where I knew that I could learn valuable skills, and the Army had entry-level administrative positions that I was able to get into and begin my career in administration.
