ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL, Ill. -- The Joint Munitions Command headquarters is launching an active awareness campaign for the Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention program during Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
JMC will participate in several Rock Island Arsenal events including a sex-signals training presentation on April 1, a National Crime Victims' Rights Week Proclamation ceremony on April 8, and a SHARP two-mile walk/run on April 25.
JMC-specific campaign events include the observance of Denim Day on April 23 (in support of sexual assault survivors and to raise awareness about sexual assault misconceptions) and a potential clothing drive.
From its headquarters here, JMC operates a nationwide network of conventional ammunition manufacturing plants and storage depots, and provides on-site ammunition experts to U.S. combat units wherever they are stationed or deployed. JMC's customers are U.S. forces of all military services, other U.S. Government agencies, and allied nations.
