WASHINGTON (March 11, 2014) -- Staff members of the Joint Force Headquarters-National Capital Region and the U.S. Army Military District of Washington packed into the command foyer to see Matthew T. Morgan, JFHQ-NCR/MDW executive administrator, promoted to sergeant at Fort Lesley J. McNair.
JFHQ-NCR/MDW Command Sgt. Maj. David O. Turnbull hosted the ceremony on behalf of JFHQ-NCR/MDW Commander Maj. Gen. Jeffrey S. Buchanan. Morgan also received the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal for his contributions while being a mentor in the Good Grief for Young Survivors and a truck master with the Wreaths Across America program.
