SECKENHEIM, GERMANY - As announced by U.S. Army Europe today, the 405th Army Field Support Brigade headquarters will move from Hammonds Barracks in Seckenheim, Germany, to Daenner Kaserne in Kaiserslautern, Germany, no later than the end of fiscal year 2009.
This move is part of the U.S. Army Europe Transformation plan and the Department of Defense's Global Rebasing and Restructuring plan.
Affected by this decision are 11 military personnel, 61 Department of the Army civilians and two host nation civilians. No positions will be eliminated due to the relocation decision.
The 405th AFSB, under the command of Col. Jack Haley, is responsible for the execution and oversight of all U.S. Army Materiel Command activities in the European theater of operations.
