Before departing the Army Materiel Command, Maj. Gen. Darrell Williams stopped by the Army Contracting Command's AMC Contracting Support Element Team to recognize the staff members for a job well done.

Williams, the former AMC chief of staff, praised the team for its consistent support to the AMC headquarters in contracting-related matters. According to the award citation presented to the staff, the office supported more than 63 contracts for the AMC headquarters providing $110 million in critical fiscal year 2013 services. The citation states the work ensured continuous contractor performance in support of critical missions to include president of the United States directed actions, Army commander's priorities and AMC core responsibilities and competencies upon which the United States depends.

Williams presented Achievement Medals for Civilian Service to Bobbie Moore, Robert Martin, Anthony Grayson and Cindy McFerran. Eileen Hipe, Grayson and McFerran were also presented four-star notes from the AMC commanding general recognizing their outstanding contributions to the October 2013 Association of the United States Army Annual Meeting and Exposition.
