Army jump master 1st Sgt. Michael Palm, with Headquarters Company, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, makes his way across the ice-covered landing strip at the Malemute Drop Zone Jan. 28, 2014, at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. Palm, along with 195 other Spartan paratroopers exited two Air Force C-17 Globemaster III aircraft as part of a larger nine-day field training exercise designed to enhance its readiness and ability to quickly respond to crisis, contingencies, and humanitarian missions in the Asia-Pacific region.
