Members of the Army Contracting Command -- Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., delivered more than 1,000 food items to the Salvation Army in Havre de Grace, Md., on Dec. 18.

The organization conducted a food drive to benefit families in need.

"The food drive was a great success and was a spirited project for the organization," said Col. Michael J. Rogers, ACC-APG's chief of staff. "It demonstrated our true spirit of giving and also provided some competitive spirit as each ACC-APG division competed to collect the most food items. Division C was named the winner for this food drive challenge by collecting 322 items."

Members of the social event planning committee organized the food drive as part of the holiday activities for ACC-APG.
