Command Sgt. Maj. Antonio R. Lopez entered the United States Army on Oct. 5, 1993 and attended Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He then attended Advanced Individual Training at Fort Eustis, Virginia, where he was awarded the Military Occupational Specialty of 15R, AH-64 Apache Helicopter Repairer.

Command Sgt. Maj. Lopez's previous assignments include: 2-227th Aviation Battalion, Hanau, Germany; 1-3rd Aviation Battalion, Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia; 6-6th Cavalry, 11th Aviation Regiment, Illesheim, Germany; 4th Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas; 1-229th Aviation Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas; Battalion Command Sergeant Major, 4th Battalion, 3rd Aviation Regiment, Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia; Brigade Command Sergeant Major, 1st Armored Division, Combat Aviation Brigade, Fort Bliss, Texas; Army Aviation Center Logistics Command, Fort Rucker, Alabama. His overseas tours include: Bosnia in support of Operation Joint Endeavour; Kuwait in support of Operation Desert Thunder; Iraq in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom 1; Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 07-09; Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom XIII.

Command Sgt. Maj. Lopez is a graduate of the Primary Leader Development Course, the Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, the Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course, the First Sergeant Course, and the Sergeants Majors Academy.

Command Sgt. Maj. Lopez earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Trident University and a Master of Business Administration from Trident University.

Command Sgt. Maj. Command Sgt. Maj. Lopez is married to Janeth Lopez and has two children, Vanessa and Alexander.
