SCHWEINFURT, Germany -- After months of preparation, the team at the Conn dining facility, led by Staff Sgt. Reginald Dukes, delivered a three-hour culinary masterpiece to honor the Army's final Thanksgiving in Schweinfurt.

On Nov. 28, community leaders, both Army and civilian, took turns on the main line serving more than 350 guests.

Also serving to community members was the Deputy Commanding General, U.S. Army-Europe, Maj. Gen. Richard C. Longo, who arrived with his wife to participate in this momentous occasion for the community.

"Very simply, I'm very impressed," said Longo.

Before leaving Maj. Gen. Longo awarded coins and heartfelt accolades to Staff Sgt. Dukes, his staff, and the community for its resiliency while dealing with the realities of closure.
