New Starbucks opens at Fort Irwin, Calif.

Starbucks associates take orders immediately after the store's grand opening Monday, August 11, 2008, at the National Training Center and Fort Irwin, Calif. Housed in a former fast food building, the new Starbucks has 3,500 square feet of selling space and offers free Wi-Fi. According to Renee Ellis, general manager, Fort Irwin Exchange, Army and Air Force Exchange Service, the store is the largest free-standing Starbucks that AAFES owns in the continental United States.
