ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. - For members of Team APG who would like to make a difference to Soldiers and their Families this holiday season, Army Community Service, in partnership with the APG Garrison's Headquarters and Headquarters Company, is presenting the 2013 Angel Tree Program.
Unit leaders have identified troops who may need assistance during the holiday season and paper tree angels listing requested gift items have been placed on trees in locations throughout APG. Angel Tree locations include the APG North (Aberdeen) recreation center, Main Post Chapel, Bowling Center, Post Exchange and Athletic Center and at the Hoyle Gym in APG South (Edgewood).
Those willing to help can collect an angel off the tree, purchase a gift or two and place the unwrapped gift in one of the barrels at any Angel Tree location.
The gifts will be collected through Dec. 11 and delivered to Soldiers and their families Dec. 18. See the list below for Angel Tree gift ideas. For more information, contact ACS at 410-278-7572.
