Veterans honored for their service and sacrifice

Bill Herr, a former Army sergeant, is presented with a Veterans Day pin by Lt. Col. Christine Moser, U.S. Army Public Health Command. Herr, who fought in World War II, was wounded at the Battle of the Bulge. He continued to serve after his injury and was stationed in Italy, France and Germany. The Margaret Kelleher Adult Day Care Center in Bel Air, Md., honored him and others during a Veterans Day celebration Nov. 8. More than 40 people including clients, family members and staff members attended this event. Moser thanked the veterans for their service as she presented pins and flags to the attendees.
