SAN ANTONIO - Lt. Gen. Perry Wiggins, along with senior military leaders from Fort Sam Houston, join the San Antonio community Nov. 9 in honoring veterans, past and present, during a wreath-laying ceremony at the Alamo as part of San Antonio's annual Celebrate America's Military events. "I hope Americans understand the freedom they enjoy today comes with a cost," said Wiggins, commanding general, U.S. Army North (Fifth Army), and senior commander, Fort Sam Houston and Camp Bullis, to those gathered. "That cost is those standing on point for our nation, keeping those away from our front door who mean us harm."
