ANSBACH, Germany (Oct. 24, 2013) -- Ansbach High School hosted its fifth annual Junior ROTC open house Oct. 2, which informed parents about their students' activities and achievements in class and served as a showcase for cadets and program instructors. The open house featured drill team performances from the cadets of the school's 9th Battalion and a potluck dinner that included food donated from parents of cadets.

One hundred and thirty-four students -- 58 percent of the high school students -- comprise the Ansbach program, which includes the formation of three companies, "Abel," "Baker" and "Easy." The drill team competes with other Department of Defense schools in Europe and hosts the European Drill Championship every May.
