CAMP HENRY, South Korea - Army Community Service helps Soldiers and their families in many ways. From making an investment plan to save for retirement to modern parenting techniques, when life hands you lemons, ACS won't make lemonade but they have a recipe for delicious lemon bars they'll share with you.

Soldiers and Family members showed Army Community Service their love and appreciation by dropping in on their 43rd birthday party. The celebration was held at ACS Bldg. 1103, July 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a birthday cake in the lobby. The party was free and open to anyone who wanted to stop by. Guests enjoyed free food and drinks, and also had a bounty of information products to choose from.

"Happy 43rd ACS birthday!" said U.S. Army Garrison Daegu Commander Col. Michael P. Saulnier. "We've got a bunch of dedicated professionals who can help you. They would literally move mountains to help you."

"We always want more people to know about ACS and to know that we're here to help them," said ACS officer, J.J. Stewart. "I think this is also a good chance to let people know the services ACS offers. Have your dessert and walk around. Pick up some of the information if you are not really familiar with what we do. Even if you are familiar with our services, there might be something you can still learn, and we always add some new programs. You're always welcome here."

Soldiers and family members who stopped by to celebrate the birthday party enjoyed great food and tested their luck on a lottery which held gift cards for the commissary and local restaurant, Grill Shanghai. The day's event gave smiles on the visitors' faces as they realized how the ACS serves the community to enhance the overall welfare of Soldiers and family members of USAG Daegu.

In addition to free food on its birthday, ACS provides a wide variety of services for Soldiers and their families. The Army Family Action Plan, Army Family Team Building, Employment Readiness, Exceptional Family Member Program, Family Advocacy Program, Mobilization Program, Financial Readiness, and Relocation Assistance are all a part of services that ACS provides for the community.
