The Warriors to the Workforce Hiring Event will take place during the Annual AUSA meeting at the Washington Convention Center from Monday, October 21 through Wednesday, October 23. The event is part of the American Freedom Foundation's nationwide initiative to help veterans, transitioning military service members and their spouses find jobs. There will be numerous companies attending the event, including: BAE Systems, Lockheed Martin, Navy Federal Credit Union and Verizon.
The event is free for all veterans, military service members and spouses. During the event there will be opportunities to speak with employers, submit qualifications, and participate in job interviews. Additionally, each day there will be workshops that focus on sharpening professional development skills, including networking, presentation skills, resume writing and interviewing techniques.
