YONGSAN GARRISON, Republic of Korea -- Yongsan Garrison Child and Youth School Services (CYSS) hosted the Day for Kids Community Fun Fair to enjoy the stations provided and spend a quality time with their parents, Sept. 28.

The 'Fun Fair' is a world-wide event, meant to encourage children to spend some time playing outside with their parents.

Col. Micheal. E. Masley, garrison commander for U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan made opening remarks about the CYSS event.

"I'm proud to kick off this CYSS event, a day for kids to have fun outside," Masley said. "So parents please come out, bring your kids and enjoy this wonderful event."

The event featured various stations and booths for children to enjoy and benefit from.

"The stations that we prepared include face painting, sumo wrestling (in inflatable suits) and even preventative flu shots," said Melody Francis, CYSS Parent and Outreach Director. "We also give out neckties and t-shirts and there's a demonstration of martial arts and ballet recitals from the boys and girls club initiative."
