REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. -- A U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command chief retired from federal civilan service.

The ceremony for Jerry Esquibel, chief, Advance Hypersonic Weapons Division, Rapid Transition Directorate, Technical Center, took place at the command's Redstone Arsenal headquarters Sept. 24.

During the ceremony, Esquibel received a three-star note from SMDC's commanding general, an American flag, the Meritorious Civilian Service Award, a certificate of appreciation, and his retirement

certificate and pin.

Esquibel retired with with 33 years of service.
