1-38th FA conducts training to enhance unit readiness

POCHEON, South Korea " Sgt. David Rockenbach (left), of Houston, Texas, provides security while Pfc. Hugo Leyva, also a native of Houston, Texas and a small arms/artillery repairer, extends concertina wire across the road to improve base defensive measures during their live fire exercise with 580th Forward Support Company, 1st Battalion, 38th Field Artillery Regiment, 210th Fires Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division at Rocket Valley, South Korea Sept. 11. Their mission was to qualify fire direction centers, the M270A1 Multiple Launch Rocket System crews and the ammunition crew members to enhance the battalion's readiness.
