2013 Army Pentagon Health Fair

WASHINGTON (Sept. 10, 2013)--The Army will kick-off its annual health fair Sept. 12, from 9 to 10 a.m., with an opening ceremony at the Pentagon Center Courtyard stage.

Deputy Chief of Staff, G-1 Lt. Gen. Howard B. Bromberg to host Thursday's event, which amplifies Army suicide prevention/ intervention effort and resilience-building in Department personnel. This year's theme is "Shoulder to Shoulder: Standing Ready and Resilient.

Col. Gregory A. Gadson, commander of U.S. Army Garrison Fort Belvoir, is the featured speaker. Gadson, an active duty officer and a double-limb amputee, is slated to share his personal story about facing adversity and his journey to resilience.

Following the completion of the opening ceremony, military personnel and civilians are invited to visit more than 30 exhibits dedicated to spread awareness about health and wellness, risk reduction, and suicide prevention and intervention.
