YONGSAN GARRISON, Republic of Korea -- Leaders from the Republic of Korea's Ministry of National Defense (MND) Service Support group visited U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan to discuss how to continue their partnership and strengthen ROK-U.S. alliance here, Sept. 4.

Located side by side, the MND Service Support Group and the Yongsan Garrison have remained good neighbors as they cooperated together on various occasions from the Korean-American Friendship Concert to the defense of the barrier of the Yongsan area.

"As a representative of MND Service Support Group, I would like to thank Yongsan Garrison for inviting us here today," said Brig. Gen. Ryu Ji Yong, commander for Ministry of National Defense Service Support Group. "I hope we keep maintaining close cooperation through various events that can strengthen our friendship, and such cooperation will be the foundation of an even stronger alliance of two countries."

After a brief tea time between Ryu and Col. Michael E. Masley, USAG Yongsan garrison commander, staff members of both MND and Yongsan garrison shared ideas for even closer cooperation for the two partners. Lunch and a windshield tour of the base concluded the visit.

"I appreciate all staff members who took time out of their busy schedules to visit our garrison today," Masley said. "Being a good neighbor is our goal, and we will continue to share information and help each other in every way possible."
