This graduating class marks the first all Afghan instructed police training to take place in Paktika Province. The ALP is an effective, cost efficient, resilient, and accountable component of GIRoA security forces as they provide security to the local populace. The relevance of the ALP is demonstrated by its recognition as an integral part of the Afghan National Security Force structure, by its popularity with local leaders and people, and by the danger it poses to the insurgency.
