YONGSAN GARRISON, Republic of Korea -- The spouse of U.S. Army Pacific's commanding general visited a military post in Korea to support the readiness and resiliency for service members, families and civilians here, Aug. 7.

During Dr. Carol P. Brooks' visit to U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan, she saw the ongoing improvements and renovations of unaccompanied housing.

Col. Michael E. Masley, garrison commander of USAG Yongsan, explained to Brooks how important it was to finish this renovation.

"We need our leaders to focus on the mission and not have to worry about their living conditions," Masley said. "This renovation gives us the opportunity to provide the leadership a better way of living than before."

During the her tour, Brooks visited the Army Community Service and several other facilities around post allowing her the opportunity to see the many faces behind the garrison's push to increase the ROK-US alliance.

"I would like to thank everyone for taking time out of their day to show me around," Brooks said. "I look forward to provide whatever support I can to increase the ROK-U.S. alliance to this great country."
