"Although the Soldiers standing before you now may number only a few, I would gladly stack their deeds next to a formation of any size," said Maj. Gavin O. Luher, commander of the 106th Financial Management Support Unit, during his speech to the remaining Soldiers of Bravo Det.

"They represent the finest military traditions of service and professionalism," said Luher. The deactivation orders have ceased incoming of personnel, leaving 11 Soldiers to deactivate the detachment.

Bravo Det. is being inactivated due to the transformation and realignment of American forces in Europe.

"Our detachment's motto 'Let's Eat,' is not an expression of our love for European cuisine," said Capt. Andrew T. Graziano, commander of Bravo Det., during his final speech to the formation. "It's a motto that describes our hunger to learn and grow."

In his address to the Soldiers, friends, and families of the unit, Graziano spoke of the detachment's accomplishments and how living the Army Values has helped the Soldiers of Bravo Det. exceed the standard and accomplish the mission.

"I am comforted knowing that the alumni of this detachment will take the knowledge, leadership, and values they developed and spread them to their next assignments," said Graziano.

In attendance along with the friends and families of the detachment, were Soldiers and civilians of the 266th Financial Management Support Center, 16th Sust. Bde., 16th STB, 106th Financial Management Support Unit, and the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade.
