The U.S. Army Contracting Command's Office of Small Business Program will hold a workshop Aug. 29 at the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce.
The workshop will focus on HUBZone and will feature a 'social media for small business' presentation. Objectives of the workshop are:
1) Gain insight into the challenges HUBZone companies face when trying to do business with the Government.
2) Discuss the impact of SBA's redesignation of HUBZone areas.
3) Identify current needs of the HUBZone community and determine how ACC OSBP can be of assistance.
4) Discuss the types of social media and the benefits businesses can receive from using it.
The workshop is free but registration is required. Sign-in begins at 9 a.m. and the workshop runs from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.
