STORCK BARRACKS, Germany (Aug. 8, 2013) -- The 12th Combat Aviation Brigade, or 12th CAB, invited local soccer club Fussball Sport Verein, or FSV, Bad Windsheim to tour Storck Barracks July 29. On this tour they received a short tour of the installation, visited the Air Traffic Control Tower, visited the Storck Barracks Fire Station, got the chance to look at and climb into an AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopter, and ate American style pizza at the Storck Barracks food court.

FSV Bad Windsheim is a soccer club near Storck Barracks that was founded in 1923 and is open to ages five to adult. Coaches, staff, parents and soccer players of all ages participated in the tour.

Helga Moser, the Community Liaison Specialist for the 12th CAB coordinated and led the tour. Moser has worked in the USAG Ansbach area for the U.S. Government for more than 25 years and has coordinated countless visits by local national organizations.

"I never get tired of showing fellow Germans our Kasernes and letting them see first hand the kindness and hospitality Soldiers always display," said Moser.

Events such as this gives the 12th CAB the chance to let local residents see what is located on the Kasernes in their neighborhoods and say "thank you."
