YONGSAN GARRISON, Republic of Korea -- Children from Yongsan and the Hannam Village community gathered at South Post Chapel for 'Kingdom Rock', USAG Yongsan's week-long Vacation Bible School from July 29 - Aug 2.

"At Kingdom Rock, the theme for this year's vacation bible school, about 250 children come to learn about different bible verses and bible points every day," said Erin Tyler, Vacation Bible School director. "We try to introduce kids to a fun way to learn bible stories and an exciting theme to learn about God."

During the program, children participate in different activities every 20 minutes, learning songs, biblical principles, doing science experiments and playing games.

"So far, the kids seem to really enjoy the activities," Tyler said. "Some parents tell us that the kids go home saying how much fun they had, and can't wait for the next day."

Approximately 70 volunteers, ranging from middle school age to adults, helped lead this year's Vacation Bible School.

Vacation Bible School is an annual program with changing themes.
