(U) American Correctional Association (ACA) Accreditation Audit of Headquarters, Army Corrections Command (U) DAPM-ACC. On 19 - 20 June 2013, Headquarters, Army Corrections Command (ACC) successfully completed its reaccreditation audit against the ACA standards manual for Administration of Correctional Agencies with a compliance rating of 100%.

ACA Auditors assessed compliance with 143 nationally recognized correctional agency standards focused on administration, fiscal management, personnel, training and staff development, information systems and research, institutional services, and inmate programs.

The audit team included 2 certified ACA auditors from state corrections systems in Arkansas and New York. Their audit report will be filed with the ACA Commission on Accreditation for Corrections and official reaccreditation will be awarded to ACC following a panel hearing at ACA Conference in the Washington DC area (National Harbor, MD) later this summer.

In addition, the same audit team visited the Army Clemency and Parole Board prior to ACC, and completed their reaccreditation audit against the ACA standards manual for Adult Parole Authorities and also achieved a 100% compliance rating.

This collectively continues the Department of the Army's standing as an ACA Golden Eagle Award recipient for accrediting all corrections related components with the ACA. Those Army components include the Army Clemency and Parole Board, US Army Military Police School, ACC Headquarters, and all five Army correctional facilities. The Army is one of only eighteen agencies that have achieved this award that is noted for as a recognized symbol of excellence in the profession of Corrections.
