SCHWEINFURT, Germany (June 26, 2013) -- A lot of Soldiers and families will move to U.S. Army Garrison Grafenwoehr this summer. Students moving to Grafenwoehr, or parents of children that will be going to school there, may want to keep in the loop on some information that could be helpful.

What's important to understand is that the Grafenwoehr area is large in space and in American population. There are several schools in the area. Which school a student attends will be largely based on his or her physical address.

Below is a list of common questions relating to changing schools. Those who need further guidance can visit the School Liaison Services page at, call DSN 354-6057 or 09721-96-6057 or visit Ledward Barracks, Bldg. 206, first floor.

When will the Grafenwoehr registration occur?
Registration has already begun and will continue throughout the summer. Parents are encouraged to register their children as quickly as possible. Enrollment is the main indicator for resource allocation, which could impact class sizes.

What documents do I need to register?
A standardized registration checklist noting the documents necessary for families registering for the 2013-2014 school year has been created and reviewed by the DSO. The contact information for each Grafenwoehr school is noted below. Elementary school students will need to have a physical address to determine where they will be attending elementary school.
• Grafenwoehr Elementary, DSN 475-7133 or 09641-83-7133,
• Netzaberg Elementary, DSN 472-9184 or 09645-917-9184,
