Gen. Daniel B. Allyn, commanding general of U.S. Army Forces Command, threw out the first pitch at a Chicago Cubs vs. Cincinnati Reds game June 13, 2013 at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Allyn is visiting the city to meet local veterans and community leaders while highlighting Army programs to support veterans as well as the Army's 238th birthday on June 14. Allyn's command, FORSCOM, is the Army's largest organization, providing training and readiness oversight for most conventional active-duty and reserve-component Army units based in the continental United States.
