FORT WAINWRIGHT, Alaska - Maj. Gen. Michael X Garrett (right), commander, United States Army Alaska, and Command Sgt. Major Bernie Knight, command sergeant major, USARAK, set a ceremonial wreath at the base of the Fallen Soldier Memorial May 22 during the Remembrance Ceremony at Monterey Lakes Memorial Park. "Today is a day to reflect and be mindful, and be thankful to all those who have gone before us, especially those who have made the ultimate sacrifice so we can enjoy the freedom and liberties we have," Garrett said.
