FOB SALERNO, Afghanistan -- Chris Flegel, a TACOM Automotive Logistics Assistance Representative, trains Soldiers from the Automotive Section, Company B, 801st Brigade Support Battalion, Fort Campbell, Ky., on how to load and use Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals on the Maintenance Support Device.

This serves as a tool to help the Soldier perform troubleshooting and diagnostics testing in order to repair and maintain Army equipment and systems.

Flegel and his fellow LARs at FOB Salerno are members of the Brigade Logistics Support Team serving with the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).

Operating under the aegis of Army Sustainment Command's 401st Army Field Support Brigade, the BLST is the leading element of the Materiel Enterprise, bringing logistics experience and expertise to bear on the battlefield.
