Lt. Gen Daniel B. Allyn, will be promoted to the rank of general and assume command of U.S. Army Forces Command in a ceremony scheduled to be held at 3:30 p.m., May 10 outside Marshall Hall, the FORSCOM headquarters complex, on Fort Bragg, N.C. The ceremony will be hosted by Gen. Raymond T. Odierno, the Chief of Staff of the Army.

The event will be broadcast live via the Internet to allow FORSCOM Soldiers and other viewers - worldwide - to watch Allyn's promotion to the rank of general as well as his acceptance of the FORSCOM colors.
