YONGSAN GARRISON, REPUBLIC OF KOREA -- Leaders of the 218th Homeland Reserve Regiment (HRR) visited U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan, sharing an opportunity to enrich their friendship and alliance, Apr. 25.
The partnership between 218th HHR and USAG Yongsan plays a key role in the safety of Yongsan garrison personnel. By signing an updated memorandum of agreement for the defense of USAG Yongsan during the visit, they renewed their willingness to work together as partners.
After signing the MOA, both parties had a short briefing at the Installation Operations Center, discussing more details of base defense.
Col. Chong-Kyu Kim, commander of 218th HRR, was glad to visit USAG Yongsan and he emphasized the importance of the alliance between 218th HHR and Yongsan. Col. Michael E. Masley, garrison commander at USAG Yongsan, responded with gratitude for their help and continued communication and cooperation between the two parties.
"I am glad that 218th HHR visited today and I am more than sure that mutual relationships between us will secure Yongsan garrison," Masley said. "I hope we develop meetings like this more often so we can be even more mission-ready whenever we need to cooperate."
The luncheon was held at the Hartell House, and afterward, a brief bus tour of the garrison completed the visit.
