"The 13 months I spent as the spokesman in Iraq not only changed me as a communicator, but changed me as a leader more than any other job I've had in the Army."

MyArmyLifeToo Web System: The Web Site of Choice for Army Families
What is it?
MyArmyLifeToo (MALT) provides single portal access for Family members and is a Web site that highlights programs and services of the Army Community Service (ACS), Army National Guard and Army Reserve Family Programs with links to important Army and community services. Information on the site is provided in language natural to Family members as opposed to Army terms, acronyms and program names. In fiscal year 2007, there were more than 277 million hits to the site. Currently, there are more than 90,000 registered users. The phrase "the Web site of choice for Army Families" is part of the site's branding campaign.
What has the Army done?
Established in 2001, the site was created to serve as a "one-stop" knowledge center designed especially for Family members. The Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Command (FMWRC) Family Programs (FP) Directorate was charged in 2003 to create a single-structured, integrated system that leverages existing services and Internet technologies to connect spouses and Family members to the Army as early as possible, while increasing their sense of belonging, Soldier retention and Family readiness. The site was named "MyArmyLifeToo" to be inclusive of the entire Army Family and officially launched in February 2004 to reach all Army Families, regardless of their geographic location or component.
