Army Reserve: Regional Personnel Service Centers
What is it? The Regional Personnel Service Center (RPSC) will serve as an Army Reserve military personnel office and will provide life-cycle personnel services (i.e., evaluations, promotions, awards, assignments, other routine administrative actions) to Army Reserve Soldiers located within an established geographic region. The plan is to establish four RPSCs as part of the regional readiness sustainment commands based on the original four installation management agency (IMA) regions.
What has the Army Reserve done? The United States Army Reserve (USAR) is currently undergoing restructuring. As part of the restructuring, the RPSCs are being structured to provide modernized life-cycle management services to meet a Soldier's career requirements while progressing in rank and responsibilities until they retire or separate. The RPSC will manage Soldiers' schooling and careers. The RPSC will actively manage Soldiers' careers even when they transfer into another civilian job - the RPSC finds another Army Reserve unit for the Soldier to belong to.
What efforts does the Army Reserve plan to continue in the future?, All life-cycle management processes and business rules are geared to fulfilling the USAR Soldiers' needs while serving their country.

Army Safety Management Information System-ASMIS-2
In FY 2006, the Army lost 122 great Soldiers to accidents involving cars, trucks, motorcycles, and ATV's. This is 49% of all accidental fatalities recorded in our Army. The Army's owns a variety of tools that leaders and Soldiers can use to take a proactive role in POV accidents.
The Army Safety Management Information System version two, or ASMIS-2, is one of those tools. ASMIS-2, a Web-based, automated risk management tool provides users with a risk assessment of trip plans, maps and hazards avoidance information, driving instructions, and a partially completed leave form (DA31). The power of ASMIS-2 is that it serves as the vehicle for the direct interface/interaction of Soldiers and his/her first line supervisors. Engaged leaders, at every echelon are our solution sets to not losing Soldiers.
