TODAY'S FOCUS

ARMY PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT TOOLBOX

The Army has launched a new Web site to help strengthen partnerships between the Army and the communities around installations and ranges.

The Army Public Involvement Toolbox website:

- Seeks to help meet the goals of the new Army Strategy for the Environment announced in October 2004.

- Emphasizes the "4 Cs" - communication, coordination, consultation, collaboration - which are all required to engage stakeholders.

- Features tools, methods, examples and information to help Soldiers, Army civilians and contractors engage in public involvement.

- Is publicly available to reinforce the Army's commitment to public involvement and to share information with other government agencies.

- Pools valuable information on public involvement in one easy-to-use place.

- Emphasizes providing practical, hands-on information and organizing the information into functional "buttons" for easy, quick linking.

The web address is www.asaie.army.mil/pitoolbox.
