A courtesy patrol team is comprised of a lieutenant and a sergeant first class who patrol an assigned area to inform Soldiers and Family members if they are violating 25th Inf. Div. or garrison policies. Four teams patrol four areas of Schofield Barracks and Wheeler Army Airfield. The teams patrol housing areas, the Post Exchange, the commissary, the gyms, and the Nehelani and Tropics Clubs.

Malaysia borders these countries on the north and east, and has combined with the U.S. to form the 6th Multinational Brigade in order to perform peacekeeping operations between the two countries. Just as a plan has been formed to end the conflict and phase out the DMZ, a terrible earthquake strikes Malaysia. The Malaysian military has to pull out of the 6th MNB, and the U.S. commits to helping our Malaysian partners.

    Soldiers of the 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, conducted fire support certifications throughout April at Area X and East Range to ensure the indirect fire capabilities of the brigade met the establish standard. "These are semiannual certifications for the support teams within the brigade," said Capt. Andrew Krumm, the assistant fire support officer for 2nd SBCT. "We've been rotating through four battalions' fire support teams."

    ROGRIGUEZ LIVE FIRE COMPLEX, Korea - The UH-60 Blackhawk begins to bank around the mountain side on its approach to the landing zone. Grass, dirt and debris fill the air as the bird hovers slightly above the deck before touching down. The green and tan of ACUs emerge from the fuselage in all directions. As the adrenaline filled Soldiers leap to the ground they immediately aim their weapons and prepare to protect their assets should the enemy be near. These are the Soldiers of the 'Coldsteel' company and they are ready for a fight.

Resiliency, an important characteristic for any Warrior, was the focus of the discussion in which Col. Gregory D. Gadson, Director of the US Army Wounded Warrior Program spoke of his experiences, including the detonation of an improvised explosive device in 2007 that resulted in both of his legs being amputated above the knee.

    WAIANAE, Hawaii -- Broken boards, rusted bolts and worn paint were the signs of age and deterioration that covered the bleachers of the school. Over 1,500 seats unavailable for friends, family and students to cheer for their favorite community team. Funding was available, but only for materials, the school would have to wait to repair the bleachers until more funds became available. That was the reality, until a Soldier approached the school administration and asked if there was any way they could help.

    SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii -- Soldiers of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, "Warriors," 25th Infantry Division welcomed the return of the Stryker fighting vehicle during a vehicle issue Sept. 13, here. The Warrior Brigade returned from a 12-month deployment in Iraq three months ago, but without its original vehicles. Those Stryker vehicles were shipped from Kuwait directly to Alabama during the redeployment process. The brigade will now draw newly overhauled Strykers that were turned in by 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division and overhauled during the past year. This system of turning in old and drawling newly overhauled vehicles allows units to receive equipment synchronized with their deployment timeline and the Army's Force Generation or ARFORGEN cycle and train up process.

Colonel Malcolm Frost, Commander, 2nd BCT, 25 Inf. Div., presented awards to select members of the rear detachment, whose efforts ensured the deployed members of the brigade were better able to focus on their mission during the recent deployment to Iraq.
