    The 2014 U.S. Army Forces Command Soldier/Non-commissioned Officer Best Warrior competition kicked off with a Sunday evening "icebreaker" at Fort Bragg, N.C., giving the competitors a chance to get acquainted and interact with senior leaders from the command. The annual competition, being held Aug. 25 - 28, will put 21 Soldiers and non-commissioned officers to the test in a variety of challenging events, including: a physical fitness test, M-16 rifle qualification, land navigation, a foot march, and a stress-inducing appearance before a board of command sergeants major. The winners will be announced during an end of competition banquet, Thursday evening, Aug. 28.

    FORT HOOD, Texas -- Task Force 34 conducted the first Aviation Training Exercise for approximately one week under the 166th Aviation Brigade here after two months of post-mobilization training. The 34th Combat Aviation Brigade of the Minnesota National Guard, is the first Guard combat aviation brigade to conduct an ATX at Fort Hood, according to Col. Christopher E.
