The group of Soldiers and nurses from the 8th Theater Sustainment Command, the Tripler Army Medical Center, the 25th Infantry Division, and the 205th Military Intelligence Brigade worked in conjunction with Veterans Affairs and the Institute for Human Services Men's Shelter to find and educate homeless veterans on the benefits available to them, while also linking them with medical care and shelter resources.

    Military historian and author Rick Atkinson will make a visit to Marshall Auditorium at 1:30 p.m. Thursday for the latest installment of the Combat Leader Speaker Program. Atkinson has written six books, including his latest work, The Guns at Last Light: The War in Western Europe, 1944-1945. The book is the final installment of Atkinson's "Liberation Trilogy," a narrative history of the U.S. military's role in the liberation of Europe in World War II. Atkinson has also won three Pulitzer Prizes -- in 1982 for national reporting, in 1999 for public service and in 2003 for history.

    CAMP CASEY, South Korea -- Swiss and Swedish leaders from the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission visited 210th Fires Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division on Camp Casey, South Korea June 11, 2013. The 1st Battalion, 38th Field Artillery Regiment, 210th Fires Brigade, displayed the M270A1 multiple launch rocket system and the AN/TPQ-37 version eight radar in the 333rd Field Artillery Target Acquisition Battery motor pool. The NNSC leaders also received a brief about 210th Fires Bde. organization in the brigade conference room. This visit was to build a strong relationship between 210th Fires Bde. and the NNSC, and to gain better knowledge of unit capabilities. "We train them how to operate the equipment and show them how to set up a training lane to bring back to their units," said Capt. Jeremy Pinson, company commander, 744th Explosive Ordinance Company, 184th Ordnance Battalion, 52nd Ordnance Group based at Fort Campbell, Ky. The graduates of this course will enable the 201st Corps to expand its counter IED efforts and help protect the Afghan people from the enemies of Afghanistan.
