The Easter Bunny himself was on hand to meet the kids.

    Georgia Army and Air National Guardsmen collaborated to complete jump training and combat landings at an airstrip at Remagen Landing Zone in Fort Stewart, Ga. The 5000 foot dirt airstrip was recently revitalized by civil engineers from the New Mexico Army and Air National Guard to allow C-130H Hercules aircraft to perform short field take-offs and landings on a dirt airstrip within a short distance from the 165th Airlift Wing, in Garden City, Ga. Prior to the opening of the Remagen airstrip, pilots flew to North Carolina or California to train for combat take-offs and landings.

    CAMP CASEY, South Korea -- More than 125 Soldiers from 210th Field Artillery Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division competed in the Thunder Crucible, a team competition held April 3-4 on Camp Casey, South Korea. The two-day Thunder Crucible event was designed to test Soldier�'s mettle, teamwork and mastery of individual skills and knowledge including: the Army Physical Fitness Test, chemical defense, combat casualty care, tactical communications, weapons mastery skills, a foot march, written tests on Korean culture and the Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention program, vehicle preventive maintenance checks and services, urban orienteering, and a surprise paintball event.     YONGSAN GARRISON, South Korea -- Four Soldiers from the 210th Field Artillery Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division took part in the Eighth Army Combatives Tournament April 4 at Seoul American High School in Yongsan Garrison, South Korea. Two of the four Soldiers won first place, one Soldier won second place, and one took fourth place in the tournament. The team will be continuing on to the All-Army Combatives Tournament in the near future. The Modern Army Combatives Program was introduced in 1995 as a way for Soldiers to become confident in their ability to deter and defeat enemies in close combat.
