    The nations of Lanuland and Struland have a fragile peace, and have been separated by a demilitarized zone. Malaysia borders these countries on the north and east, and has combined with the U.S. to form the 6th Multinational Brigade in order to perform peacekeeping operations between the two countries. Just as a plan has been formed to end the conflict and phase out the DMZ, a terrible earthquake strikes Malaysia. The Malaysian military has to pull out of the 6th MNB, and the U.S. commits to helping our Malaysian partners.

  • Annual military lounge opens for holidays at Atlanta's airport

    The 41st annual Military Holiday Lounge at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport's Concourse B at gate 33 is now open to serve military service members and their Families for the holidays. Howard C. Butler, deputy commander of U.S. Army Garrison Fort McPherson and Fort Gillem, and 17 of his Soldiers were invited to participate in the opening ceremony as guests from the nearest military installation to the airport. Hosted by current and retired Delta Airlines employees and their family members, the lounge is a safe haven for the thousands of Soldiers, sailors, airman, Marines, Coast Guardsmen and their Families who travel through the world's busiest airport each holiday season. It provides free personal hygiene items, beverages, baked goods and snacks to military service members. It is also a place where they can relax, watch a movie, listen to holiday music, and give their children a place to play games and make crafts.

    Soldiers and guests attended a memorial ceremony held in remembrance of Sgt. Jamal M. Rhett, who was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, at the Main Post Chapel, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, Aug. 25. Rhett served as a combat medic in his unit during Operation Iraqi Freedom, and was killed in action in Iraq August 15.
